having said that.. At 16 years old, I attempted to train my
self to lucid
dream and, although I never did achieve a lucid state, I
did learn to remember my dreams very clearly. In one, I
was the wizard Nhim (yes, from when I was 11) and the world
in which the dream was taking place in had one thing that was
"obvious" - well it was "obvious" and made
perfect sense.. while I was dreaming (see above) And that is
that everyone in this land had but one name. The only
reason you would ever GET a last name is if you were given one
by the king - and the different last names meant different things,
both good and bad.. (for example I do NOT remember these in
particular, I'm making them up to illustrate the point but "aT"
could mean you were a thief while "ittiA" tacked on
the end of your name may have meant that you had performed some
great feat of bravery) OK, So everyone just has one name.. and
if you're given a last name they would simply run the two
names together forming one new name.. In my dream
the wizard Nhim did some amazing thing (no, I don't remember
what that was.. I think it had something to do with killing
a demon that was stalking the king.)read
